Watch
Lights On
Each painting in this exhibit fades in and out on a timed cycle unique to the species it portrays. The longer the darkness, the closer that species is to extinction. The lights coming on represent hope — and the funding and attention that makes hope possible.
Flagship Initiative
Project Holocene
Russell Ronat is the founder and artist behind Project Holocene — an international illuminated art exhibit dedicated to endangered species. The project has been shown across four continents and has partnered with conservation organizations worldwide.
